This Thursday night’s activities at the Price Center will also include a special dinner service in the Tea Room from 5-9 p.m. that includes your choice of three featured entrees, salads, and dessert along with a complimentary glass of wine.
The new Artists’ reception will take place from 6-8 p.m. in our 1910 Room and attendees will have the opportunity to meet and engage in conversation with the Center’s newest featured artists. Light, complimentary refreshments will be served.
Our newest display, “Clash of the Titans,” Norman Bean’s and Ronnie Borden’s show, hangs in our Main Parlor. The two local artists met while exhibiting and selling their art in a variety of venues around Central Texas. Admiring each others’ works, the two have become friends as well as colleagues in the local growing art scene.
Other artists featured in this Walkabout are Gav Sears, 78676, Linda Kelsey-Jones, Bee Friends, and the River Valley Porcelain Arts Club. Many of the works on display are available for purchase. A portion of proceeds benefit the Price Center, a non-profit community center operated by the Greater San Marcos Area Seniors Association.
Several other downtown San Marcos businesses are slated to participate in this month’s 3rdThursday Downtown Walkabout, including two new galleries — 218 Co-Op Gallery, located at 218 N. Guadalupe St. and The Good Stuff Community Store, located at 173 S.
