Movies in Your Park Wraps Up with ‘Dolphin Tale 2’

The City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Division will feature Dolphin Tale 2 at Movies in Your Park at San Marcos Plaza Park on Tuesday, July 28.

Bring your friends, family, lawn chairs, and blankets. Come out before the movie begins at 7:30 p.m. to enjoy pre-movie activities for youth sponsored by Angel Drops. Various community groups will be out hosting activities for kids, providing vision screenings, and conducting surveys. Movies will begin as soon as the sun has set for the evening. Concessions will be available for purchase from the Association of Recreation Enthusiasts from Texas State University.

To complement the movie, the City’s Keep San Marcos Beautiful, Solid Waste and Habitat Conservation Plan programs, as well as Texas State University’s storm water management program, will have interactive booths to educate people about how litter and run-off affect the San Marcos River and what we can do to help.

The movie series is sponsored by Grande Communications, Walton Development and Management, The Hitch, and Mensor.

For more information, call the Parks and Recreation Main Office at 512.393.8400.
