MTC, Vice-President Visits Gary Job Corps Community Relations Council

Gary Job Corps is a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16 through 24 improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training.

Dean Hoffman, Vice-President, Management & Training Corporation attended the monthly Gary Job Corps Community Relations Executive Committee meeting, which was held at Carino’s Restaurant. 

The Community Relations Council serves as a conduit between the Gary Job Corps Center and the local community. 

The CRC membership has been involved in raising funds and volunteer hours for San Marcos Chamber of Commerce, Kyle Chamber of Commerce, Hays County Food Bank, New Braunfels Food Bank, Celebrating Mothers and Father’s Day at local Nursing Homes, Christmas Caroling at Nursing Homes in San Marcos and Lockhart,  San Marcos Youth Shelter, Hays Caldwell Women’s Center, Hays Caldwell County Council on Drug and Alcohol Abuse, Maxwell Public Library, Adopt-a School with Travis Elementary, Adopt-a- Highway on Hwy21, and Natural Disasters such as the San Marcos Floods, Global Issues(Earthquakes, Tsunami’s) and Bastrop Fires.
