Multiple WIC Offices To Consolidate Phone Lines To A Single Number

WIC Offices In Some Central Texas Cities To Consolidate Phone Lines To A Single Number…

On Friday, Aug. 17, the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program offices in San Marcos, Kyle, Lockhart, Seguin, New Braunfels, and Selma will network their phone lines and merge to a single phone number.

Starting Friday, callers will dial 512.393.8040 and select the option for the WIC office they wish to reach.

The transition from the existing numbers to the single number will begin at 12 p.m. after the clinics close for the week. It is possible that callers will not be able to complete their calls between noon and 3 p.m. on Friday.

Networking the phone lines will have several benefits for customer experience and make providing service and information more efficient. For example, clients and health care providers will now only need to remember one phone number, and WIC staff will have remote access to efficiently answer calls and process voicemails.

WIC is a health and nutrition program with a successful record of supporting healthy pregnancies and providing nutritious foods for children up to age five. To learn more about the many benefits of WIC, as well clinic locations and e-mail addresses, please visit www.sanmarcostx.gov/wic or www.texaswic.org.
