New Grocery, Butcher Shop To Provide Local Farmers’ Market Goods In San Marcos

San Marcos is home to a new grocery and butcher shop, which opened its doors on August 26.

Three Six General will hold a grand opening event of its first retail location on September 5 and includes a whole-animal butchery shop.

The butcher shop specializes in cured and smoked meats and local sourcing, which are sold at area farmers’ markets and now in-store in San Marcos.

The retail location will also feature an array of fresh-cut meats, cheeses, charcuterie, prepared foods, local vegetables, and pantry items from local farmers market vendors.

Three Six General began at farmers’ markets in and around Austin, including Wimberley, Dripping Springs, Lakeline, Pedernales, Mueller, and Pearl.

The store is located at 1904 RR 12, San Marcos.
