New Management At Gary Held First Leadership & Team Building Extravaganza For Students & Staff

“I am totally dedicated to the success of the young men and women in the Job Corps program, I set high expectations for the staff and the students to accomplish their goals.”

ResCare leaders personally welcomed Gary Job Corps staff members on the company’s first day of operating the center.

The 1st Leadership & Teambuilding Extravaganza was held for the staff and students, which covered the company’s expectations and philosophy. Additionally, ResCare held a center wide festival with five food trucks, five inflatables, bingo and staff dunk tank.

ResCare Workforce Services is one of the nation’s largest operators of Job Corps centers, where thousands of young people ages 16-24 receive job training, academic instruction and important life skills that put them on pathways to living productive lifestyles.

According to Patricia Langford, Gary needs to hire 60 Residential Counselors by the end of June.

Patricia “Patty” Lankford is the new Center Director, ResCare Inc., at the Gary Job Corps Center. Patty comes to Gary Job Corps with 17 years of experience,10 years as a Center Director, and positions as Finance and Accounting Director, and Finance Manager.

Prior to moving to San Marcos, she has worked in New York, Connecticut, Indiana, Arkansas, Alabama, and Maine.

Patty comes to Gary Job Corps with a wealth of experience and said, “I am totally dedicated to the success of the young men and women in the Job Corps program, I set high expectations for the staff and the students to accomplish their goals.” Further, “I firmly believe in service to the community and I plan on continuing the relationship that the Gary Center has established with the local community.”

  • Done, and done. Gary Job Corps sucked under MTC, and needs to be closed forever now. See the article here from April 4 about Gary JCC being investigated, and that MTC lost the contract. ResCare is but another profiteering company screwing the public and the students. It never changes....
