The monthly report by Zumper, covers 13 cities in the Austin metro area to highlight the most/least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents.
Highlights
• This month, San Marcos ranked as the 13th most expensive city to rent in the metro area.
• The price of one bedroom units remained flat at a median of $890, while two bedroom units also stayed stable at to $1,000.
The state median one bedroom rent was $960 last month.

• Austin, TX rent grew $10 to $1,200 but continued to rank as the most expensive in the metro.
• Brushy Creek, TX moved up 3 spots to rank as the second priciest city with rent growing $30 to $1,130.
• Georgetown, TX dropped to third with rent falling $40 to $1,150.
The Least Expensive
• San Marcos, TX remained the most affordable city with rent at $890.
• Wells Branch, TX saw rent grow $30 to $960 but remain the second least expensive.
• Jollyville, TX was third with one bedrooms priced at $980.

• Leander, TX was second with rent growing 3.9% last month.
