New Restaurant To Open In San Marcos, Brings 160+ Jobs

Prior to the opening, the new San Marcos restaurant will be hosting Friends and Family events with proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos.

On Monday, April 3, Olive Garden will open a new restaurant in San Marcos, featuring the company’s latest restaurant design and logo. Located at 1305 S I-35, the restaurant will be led by Matthew Turgeon as General Manager.

To celebrate the opening, the restaurant is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, April 3 at 10 a.m. with city officials, in partnership with the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce.

The new restaurant will feature an updated design with new artwork, fabrics and materials, lighting, seating, countertops and flooring, as well as a display of the new “Olive Garden Italian Kitchen” logo sign.

The 7,500+-square-foot restaurant will accommodate more than 250 guests and will create more than 160 new jobs for the surrounding community.

Prior to the opening, the San Marcos Olive Garden restaurant is hosting Friends and Family events with proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos.

The restaurant will open featuring the new Tastes of the Mediterranean menu, which includes six flavorful dishes with ingredients inspired by Italy’s Mediterranean Coast that are each under 600 calories, like the Shrimp Scampi and new Chicken Margherita.

These dishes offer guests flavorful fresh ingredients, such as fresh vegetables, olive oil, whole grain, citrus, garlic and herbs.

Additionally, Olive Garden’s menu will continue to feature guest favorites, such as the Lasagna Classico and unlimited Soup, Salad and Breadsticks, as well as innovations such as the Grilled Chicken Piadina and the Spicy Calabrian Chicken Breadstick Sandwich.

The San Marcos Olive Garden will be located on the property where Griffith Ford was until recently, on the corner of Hwy 123 and the I35 feeder road.
