AUSTIN – The Texas Education Agency (TEA) announced today that student State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR) test scores, as well as valuable resources to support student learning, are now available at texasassessment.com.
Parents are encouraged to visit the site to obtain information regarding students’ individual results and utilize developmental tools to support parents in continued learning at home.
TEA also announced that for the first time, texasassessment.com is available in Spanish, providing greater access and usability for Spanish-speaking parents across the state.
Information provided includes the student-specific test taken for this current assessment, question-by-question performance data, a step-by-step guide to understanding STAAR scores, sample STAAR test questions, tutorials, and practice tests.
“Parents are a child’s first teacher. The information available gives parents valuable information and resources that can help foster a love of learning in their child,” said Commissioner of Education Mike Morath. “We hope parents take time over the summer to explore these tools designed to encourage continued learning and preparation for the coming school year.”
Parents can view information through an access code either provided by local school districts or by using the “Find My Code” feature on the home page.
STAAR assessments are administered in Mathematics and Reading for grades 3 through 8; in Writing for grades 4 and 7; in Science for grades 5 and 8, and in Social Studies for grade 8. There are five end-of-course assessments in Algebra I, Biology, English I, English II, and U.S. History.
