News For Downtown San Marcos

Help Us Welcome 6,000 Freshmen Downtown
The City of San Marcos is hosting an interactive event,
Friday, August 21, from 3-6pm,  in downtown San Marcos. Introduce your business to 6,000 incoming Texas State University freshmen! Here’s how to be involved:
  • Be a stop on the QR scavenger hunt, where students will come to your business and scan a large QR code to enter to win prizes.
  • Contribute a door prize or gift certificate.
  • Set up a booth on the Square during the block party to advertise (no commerce at the event). Free for downtown businesses!
  • The Main Street Program is also seeking food vendors willing to pass out samples or coupons.

To participate, notify the Main Street program via email or call 512-393-8430. The event is sponsored by the City of San Marcos Main Street Program, Keep San Marcos Beautiful and Community Services.
