Due to road construction, Stone Crest Boulevard at Old Goforth Road will be closed to all through traffic beginning Friday, April 12. The work will take place between 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
The contractor will also be required to secure the construction zone overnight. Detour signs will be up in the area and the contractor will have a traffic control plan in force at all times during work within the public right-of-way.
This closure will last approximately four weeks. The road improvement project is part of the bond package passed in 2014.
The general scope of work for this project includes:
· Dedicated left and right turn lanes at Tom Green Elementary
· Intersection safety improvements at FM 2001
· Increase pedestrian connectivity between subdivisions and school
· Aesthetic enhancements
