Llano – Burnet – Williamson – Val Verde – Edwards – Real – Kerr – Bandera – Gillespie – Kendall – Blanco – Hays – Travis – Bastrop – Lee – Kinney – Uvalde – Medina – Bexar – Comal – Guadalupe – Caldwell – Fayette – Maverick – Zavala – Frio – Atascosa – Wilson – Karnes – Gonzales – De Witt – Lavaca – Dimmit

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for South-Central Texas….

DAY ONE…Today And Tonight

A Dense Fog Advisory is now in effect through 7am for areas south of the Austin Metro area and along and east of I-35, including the San Antonio Metro. Visibility can change over a short distances tonight. You may encounter locally dense fog with visibility down to one quarter mile or less very quickly. Be prepared to increase driving distance and slow down if you do. Use low beams and use caution while driving in the foggy conditions tonight.

DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Wednesday through Monday

There is a chance of freezing rain Wednesday across the Hill Country and portions of Central Texas, roughly near and north of a Burnet to Fredericksburg to Rocksprings line.

At this time it is too soon to determine ice accumulations, however some icy spots will be possible on mainly elevated bridges, overpasses, and metal surfaces.

This is still an evolving forecast and locations of freezing rain and potential impacts may significantly change as the event draws closer. Those with travel plans through the Hill

Country and Central Texas will want to stay closely tuned to the forecast over the coming days.

With dormant vegetation, decent soil moisture, and moderate rainfall forecast on Wednesday some minor nuisance flooding could be possible along and east of Interstate 35. The heaviest rainfall will be possible east of Interstate 35 and north of Interstate 10 through the day on Wednesday.

Cold morning lows and breezy conditions will lead to windchill values in the mid to upper 20s for each morning Wednesday through Friday across parts of the Hill Country, Edwards Plateau, and I-35 corridor. Be sure to dress accordingly with coats, scarves, and multiple layers to keep warm during the cold and breezy mornings.
