Now Accepting Entries For CTMC’s 5th Annual Kids Art Contest

“The Kids Art Calendar Contest is a great way for Hays County youngsters to express what health and well-being mean to them,” said Sonia Martinez, operations coordinator for the CTMC CREATION Health Institute.


SAN MARCOS, TEXAS
– Central Texas Medical Center’s 5th Annual Kids Art Contest is underway. Children whose work best demonstrates the CREATION Health principles will see their piece in the 2019 CREATION Health calendar.

CTMC invites children ages 4-18 to submit artwork for consideration prior to the October 1, 2018 deadline.

“The Kids Art Calendar Contest is a great way for Hays County youngsters to express what health and well-being mean to them,” said Sonia Martinez, operations coordinator for the CTMC CREATION Health Institute. “This is an opportunity for local kids to use their artistic talents to educate the community on how they can live a healthy lifestyle by practicing the CREATION Health principles.”

The annual calendar celebrates healthy living by focusing on each of the eight principles that make up the acronym for CREATION Health: choice, rest, environment, activity, trust, interpersonal relationships, outlook and nutrition.

Each child participating in the contest must create artwork that illustrates one of the eight CREATION Health concepts. Entries can be created from any 2-D or digital medium.

Contestants should drop off their artwork with attached entry forms at the Information Desk located in the CTMC Main Lobby at 1301 Wonder World Drive in San Marcos.

A CREATION Health Institute representative can arrange to pick up large quantity entries for childcare facilities, camp coordinators, church groups, schools and community organizations at your location. Please call the CTMC CREATION Health Institute at 512.753.3818.
