The National Weather Service says there is an enhanced risk for severe storms in Central Texas today and especially tonight.
There is an enhanced risk for severe storms throughout the day, especially this evening. According to the National Weather Service the main threat will be large hail and damaging wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour. Locally heavy rainfall is also possible. Please remain vigilant and monitor your local weather reports for updates.

SCATTERED STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AND INTO TONIGHT ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS. THE MAIN THREATS WILL BE LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WIND GUSTS. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL IS ALSO POSSIBLE. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY. THERE IS A MARGINAL RISK FOR SEVERE WEATHER WEDNESDAY ACROSS ALL OF SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS. PERIODS OF STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. THE MAIN THREATS WILL BE LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WIND GUSTS. THERE WILL ALSO BE A THREAT FOR ISOLATED HEAVY DOWNPOURS OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS WITH THE STRONGER STORMS. ANY OF THESE ISOLATED HEAVY DOWNPOURS COULD PRODUCE A QUICK 1 TO 3 INCHES OF RAINFALL. RAINFALL TOTALS THROUGH THURSDAY COULD EXCEED 4 TO 5 INCHES IN SOME LOCAL AREAS.
