Officials Identify Victim Of Small Passenger Aircraft Crash

The Texas Department of Public Safety identified the victim in Wednesday’s early morning plane crash.

Robb Stewart Van Eman from West Lake Hills, 48, was the pilot of the small passenger plane that took off from San Marcos Regional Airport around 5:54 AM according to officials.

Officials said the plane lost contact with air traffic control at 5:55 AM and was found at 8:03 AM on the ALERRT Center property near Maxwell, Texas.

Officials located one victim, who was later identified as Van Eman, deceased.

The National Transportation Safety Board has taken over the investigation into the cause of the crash.
