Party In Your Park 2016 Debut, El Camino Real February 19

The San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department is proud to present the 2016 Party in Your Park, a series of family-friendly events that will bring positive attention to the City’s neighborhood parks four times a year.

This year’s first event will be held on Friday, February 19 from 6-9 p.m. at El Camino Real Park at 401 Cottonwood in the El Camino Real subdivision.

This free event is open to the public and will showcase El Camino Real Park’s value to the community. Families will enjoy a fun, safe evening while socializing with their neighbors.

Activities will include Gaga Ball, giant connect four, and other yard games. Additionally, Community Action, Inc. of Central Texas and the Texas State Ultimate Frisbee Team will be on-site to facilitate a variety of activities. Healthy snacks and refreshments will be provided. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or folding chairs to sit on if needed.

The next event will be held on May 13, 2016 at Victory Garden Park, located at 300 Roosevelt Street. Party in Your Park would not be possible without the generous support of the community. If you are interested in getting involved with Party in Your Park or for more information, contact Catherine Marler, Youth Services Coordinator, at cmarler@sanmarcostx.gov or 512.393.8249.
