Party in Your Park Coming to Conway on February 20

The City of San Marcos will host Party in Your Park, a family-friendly event that brings positive attention to our City’s neighborhood parks on Friday, Feb. 20 at 6 p.m. in Conway Park, located at 504 Bliss Lane in the Blanco Gardens neighborhood.

This free event is meant to showcase Conway Park’s value to the community and to give families the opportunity to enjoy a fun, safe night to socialize with their neighbors.

Activities will include Gaga Ball, 9 Square in the Air, giant Jenga, other yard games, healthy snacks, and much more. Texas Skate will be at the event hosting a game of SKATE, so participants are invited to bring their skateboards and join the fun. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or folding chairs to sit on if needed.

The next Party in Your Park will be on May 22 at Capt. Paul Pena Park, located at 1209 Crystal River Parkway in the Hills of Hays subdivision. Party in Your Park would not be possible without the support from the community and generous sponsorship of Grande Communications.

Parks and Recreation is looking for their next park to host the November “Party in Your Park” event. For any suggestions on where to host the November event, or for more information on this Friday’s event, contact Victoria Van de Ryt, Youth Services Coordinator, at 512.393.8249.
