Ambassadors serve as greeters at chamber events and generally foster goodwill among the membership.
Susanne Ritter, Career Transition Readiness Supervisor at Gary Job Corps, passed the gavel to Randolph Goodman, Business Community Liaison Gary Job Corps.
Mr. Goodman has taken over the position of the President of the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors for 2017-18.
The mission of the ambassadors is to strengthen the overall relationship with members by assisting with chamber events and creating awareness of the chamber in the community.
Ambassadors serve as greeters at chamber events and generally foster goodwill among the membership. Ambassadors are asked to serve for at least one year and most choose to renew their ambassadorship.
There are currently over 750 members with the Chamber of Commerce, and they have the following working committees: education, governmental affairs, sustainability, special events, and networking leads.
The ambassadors have currently been greeters at “Grip it & Rip it” Golf Tournament, Business to Business Expo, New Member Orientation, San Marcos Chamber Gala, Chamber Luau, and State of the City & Education, additionally, represented the Chamber in 60 new business Ribbon Cuttings.
The Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors vision statement is, “The San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce is a leading membership organization that collaborates with stakeholders to develop an environment where businesses thrive, leadership is encouraged, students excel, housing is ample and attainable, all members are active and quality of life is a priority.”
