Jester King Brewery is among the stops on the 2017 Hill Country Solar Tour, and will be open to tour participants from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Johnson City, Texas – Pedernales Electric Cooperative, Inc is once again partnering with the Texas Solar Energy Society to host the seventh annual Hill Country Solar Tour Saturday, Sept. 30, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The tour will feature five homes near Dripping Springs and the Oak Hill area of Southwest Austin, plus Jester King Brewery, which guests can tour from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“More than 1,500 members have already made the move to generate their own power,” said Ingmar Sterzing, PEC’s vice president of power supply and energy services. “We look forward to offering members who attend an opportunity to learn more about the benefits of solar power and to see other members’ installations.”
The tour is rain or shine. Attendees may stop by PEC’s Oak Hill office at 8 a.m. to pick up a packet, coffee and a breakfast snack, or can begin a self-guided tour by downloading the materials online. There will be a Solar 101 presentation at 9 a.m. at the Oak Hill office.
