PEC Now Accepting Board Director Nominations For 2021 Election

Candidate nomination materials available for districts 1, 6, and 7

JOHNSON CITY, Texas — Nomination petitions are now open for members seeking to serve their communities on the Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) Board of Directors in districts 1, 6, and 7.

Petition forms and additional information are available on PEC’s Nomination by Petition webpage at pec.coop/nominations. Applicants may access the nomination petition forms and materials online, download them, and fill them out at their convenience.

These materials include qualification requirements, detailed instructions, an application, maps of PEC board districts, and forms for submitting background information and collecting member signatures. The winners will serve a three-year term.

Completed original petition materials must be delivered in-person to, the Governance Team at PEC Headquarters no later than March 22 at 5 p.m.

Members seeking nomination for PEC director positions must:

  • Maintain a primary residence in the PEC board district in which they seek election and receive continuous electric service for at least one year. See Article III of the PEC bylaws for complete qualifications.
  • Obtain verifiable signatures from 50 members who live within the nominee’s board district or have a designated voting residence within that district.
  • Download petition materials and email election@peci.com to schedule an appointment to deliver completed materials in-person to PEC Headquarters. Submit completed petition materials in-person to the Governance Team at PEC Headquarters, 201 S. Avenue F Johnson City, Texas 78636, no later than March 22 at 5 p.m.

A qualifications review committee comprised of members will verify nominees’ qualifications. After petition signatures and nominees’ qualifications are verified, PEC will announce the director candidates.
