Looking to adopt or foster animals from the local shelter? Here are the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter pets of the week!
Spread the word to help these animals find their forever homes.
Concha (48311388) is a beautiful 76-pound girl with a heart of gold. She’s house- and crate-trained and has lived with older children and adults.
She has lived with other dogs but doesn’t love to share her stuff, so meals and toys are best kept separate. This smarty-pants knows how to sit, shake, lay down, AND high five! So long as you have a treat in your hand. She loves to swim and loves hiking!
This special girl is only here because her family had a very young child in the house and didn’t feel they could keep everyone safe and happy. Come meet this 5-year-old cutie!
Weezy (47506456) is a stunning 1-year-old with long hair and a special surprise: she only has one kidney! We like to think that she generously donated it to another kitty in need.
Thanks, Weezy! It doesn’t bother her or slow down this mellow lady – she just likes to be a lap cat and show off her dilute torti good looks!
Weezy and tolerates dogs and doesn’t mind having a cat buddy. She’s also been around kids; what a family girl! Weezy is shy at first, but if you give her some time to get used to her new furever home she’ll warm up in no time!
Both pets are available for adoption at the San Marcos Regional Shelter.
To meet their pets, please visit in person at 750 River Rd, San Marcos, open from noon – 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and from noon – 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
