Pets of the Week: Meet Gunther & Ryan

Staff

Looking to adopt or foster animals from the local shelter? Here are the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter pets of the week!

Spread the word to help these animals find their forever homes.

MEET GUNTHER (47990933)

This hyper boy has enough energy to keep up with you on a good run or a long walk. Gunther told us he would love a four-legged friend in his new furever home so he can have a play buddy.

This sweet boy is 3 years old, 63 pounds, and has lived with children, so he’s the perfect family dog! He’s crate-trained, loves playing in water, walks well on a leash. He knows a few commands, and can’t wait for his hooman to teach him more!

Gunther has made lots of furry friends at the shelter who have moved on and found homes of their own, but now it’s Gunthers turn! Come meet him and fall in love!

MEET RYAN (48544421)

Ryan is such a fun kitty to have in your home! He loves chasing around odds and ends that he finds on the ground, keeping you entertained for hours.

He has such a lively personality, and at only 2 years old he will be able to bring you loads of happiness for years to come! What are a few of Ryan’s favorite things that make him purr?

Well, he says if you have Squeeze Up’s and catnip around he’ll be a very happy boy! He also loves cuddles and head scratches. Come adopt Ryan! He can’t wait to keep a smile on your face furever!

Both pets are available for adoption at the San Marcos Regional Shelter.

To meet their pets, please visit in person at 750 River Rd, San Marcos, open from noon – 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and from noon – 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

Visit https://bit.ly/3hp6VSk to learn about the foster program or to fill out a foster application.
