Looking to adopt or foster animals from the local shelter? Here are the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter pets of the week!
Spread the word to help these animals find their forever homes.
MEET MALCOLM!
Malcolm (46717133) is the cutest Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Ibizan Hound mix. He LOVES to jump. But don’t worry, he is very polite and doesn’t jump on you, just reeeally high in the air! He is a lively 2-year-old and absolutely loves playing with other dogs that match his energy level.
In addition to his amazing personality and striking looks, he is a very calm, relaxed boy when he feels it’s necessary. He loves going on walks and taking naps on the couch while old sports reels play in the background. At 50 pounds, Malcolm is simply perfect! Come check him out!
MEET SHE-RA!
She-Ra (48060861) is such a joy! She will zoom all around, chasing a toy mouse or a piece of string. This zesty girl is 1-year-old and has such a fun personality. If there is a scratch post nearby she just can’t resist getting in a good stretch and filing her nails a bit.
She-Ra has standards, of course (she is a cat, you know); her hooman must give her soft food occasionally and have Temptations or Greenies brand treats handy.
She-Ra must be held and receive head scratches at least ten times (or more) a day, and a have window perch so she can watch the birds outside. She-Ra has been at the shelter since June 23, 2021, and she’s ready to have a second chance. Come meet her!
Both pets are available for adoption at the San Marcos Regional Shelter.
To meet their pets, please visit in person at 750 River Rd, San Marcos, open from noon – 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and from noon – 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
