Looking to adopt or foster animals from the local shelter? Here are the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter pets of the week! Spread the word to help these animals find their forever homes.
Ollie (49798302) is a handsome 5-year-old German Shepherd mix! He has very long legs, weighs over 100 pounds, has striking light brown eyes, and the cutest floppy ears.
He likes playing with dog friends, especially laid-back females, due to his resource guarding habits.
He is gentle when playing with children, and can be protective of his family. Ollie enjoys going on long walks or runs to stay in shape because his love for treats is his weakness!
He’s an overall good boy, who’s looking for someone to give him a second chance. Come meet him today!
Teddy (49651725) is a big tabby cat that’s ready to submit his job application! Teddy would flourish in an outdoor environment such as a warehouse, as a shop cat, or in a barn or backyard where he can keep the rodents away, then cozy up on the porch or in a shed for a well-earned nap.
Just because you adopt a working cat doesn’t mean they won’t want to come inside and spend time with you. When these cats come into the shelter, they are scared and confused, but if you’re patient, feed them regularly, and take the time to show these babies some love, they may find it just as comfy in your home as outside!
Teddy has no adoption fee and is very ready to find his furever job.
Both pets are available for adoption at the San Marcos Regional Shelter.
All ready-to-go pets (meaning cats and dogs that have already been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped) are $10 until further notice and include spay/neuter, vet exam, vaccinations, a microchip, and 30 days of free pet health insurance.
To meet their pets, please visit in person at 750 River Rd, San Marcos, open from noon – 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and from noon – 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
