Pet’s of the Week: Meet Salem & Frankenweenie!

Staff

Looking to adopt or foster animals from the local shelter? Here are the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter pets of the week!

Spread the word to help these animals find their forever homes.

MEET FRANKENWEENIE

Frankenweenie (48807166) is the smartest dog you may ever meet!

This boy knows how to give a high five, shake with BOTH paws, he knows sit, and he hops right in the car.

He’s polite when taking treats, walks right beside you on leash (dreamy!), and ignores other pups while on a walk.

Frankenweenie is a very calm 3-year-old pup and an excellent cuddler! We think he’d enjoy the river too – he wanted to jump right in on his Dog’s Day Out!

We can’t believe no one has scooped up this 50-pound dude yet. Go meet him today!

MEET SALEM

Salem (48684490) is such a goofy girl! She’s two years old, loves playing with anything that moves, and must get frequent head scratches.

Salem has lots of energy, and her zoomies will have you giggling nonstop! Her fur is absolutely stunning and she’s as smart as a whip.

Beauty and brains? You just have to meet her!

Both pets are available for adoption at the San Marcos Regional Shelter.

To meet their pets, please visit in person at 750 River Rd, San Marcos, open from noon – 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and from noon – 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

Visit https://bit.ly/3hp6VSk to learn about the foster program or to fill out a foster application.

Or visit them online at www.sanmarcostx.gov/animaladoptions to choose a pet, fill out an online adoption application, and then give them a call at 512.805.2650 or email animaladoptions@ sanmarcostx.gov to talk about it.
