Pets of the Week: Meet Toad & Sam

Staff

Looking to adopt or foster animals from the local shelter? Here are the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter pets of the week!

Spread the word to help these animals find their forever homes.

MEET TOAD (48293613)

Toad is such a treasure! This 65-pound boy enjoys all the pets, napping, and more napping.

He has met other dogs at the shelter and has even lived with another dog his size, so he would enjoy another dog friend in his new home! He is crate-trained, very gentle, and is eager to learn tons of new tricks.

Toad is six years old, a big fan of squeaky toys, and can’t wait to give his new hooman SO much love. If you don’t mind having a dog that wants to be up in your business all the time, then Toad is the perfect choice for you!

MEET SAM (48702868)

Don’t let the photos of Sam fool you; he’s a very loving 6-pound boy! He needs someone who will show him tenderness and love. At eight months old, Sam can’t wait to live in a home where he has a nice window perch where he can watch the birds outside.

He also wouldn’t mind having a Squeeze Up every once in a while, (*cough, cough* or all the time because he LOVES them)!

He enjoys being held and absolutely loves treats of any kind! Sam will give you so many cuddles as long as you give him time to get acclimated to his new furever home!

Both pets are available for adoption at the San Marcos Regional Shelter.

To meet their pets, please visit in person at 750 River Rd, San Marcos, open from noon – 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and from noon – 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

Visit https://bit.ly/3hp6VSk to learn about the foster program or to fill out a foster application.

Or visit them online at www.sanmarcostx.gov/animaladoptions to choose a pet, fill out an online adoption application, and then give them a call at 512.805.2650 or email animaladoptions@ sanmarcostx.gov to talk about it.
