Pets of the Week: Meet Yanez & Annie

Corridor Staff

Looking to adopt or foster animals from the local shelter? Here are the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter pets of the week! Spread the word to help these animals find their forever homes.

Dog of the Week: Yanez (47741262)

Yanez is such a cuddle bug! Once you get down to his level, be prepared to have 62 pounds of love lying in your lap.

This 4-year-old boy has lived with other dogs, so he may enjoy having a fur-sibling, so long as mealtimes are a single pup affair.

He plays like a puppy but has the calmness and tenderness of a senior dog. Yanez is quite curious and very food motivated, so training him should be a breeze.

This loyal pal will always keep a smile on your face and your heart happy!

.

Cat of the Week: Annie (47997786)
.

Annie is a stunning senior tortoiseshell cat! If you need to know anything about ‘back in the day,” Annie has all the stories.

Annie is very patient with kids and other pets. She’s very calm and tolerant of being picked up; she is 14-pounds, so it can get a bit uncomfortable being held frequently.

She’s a relaxed girl with a silly side. Hide the catnip if you don’t want her kitten side to show!

Both pets are available for adoption at the San Marcos Regional Shelter.

To meet our pets, please visit us in person at 750 River Rd, San Marcos, open from noon – 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and from noon – 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

Or visit us online at www.sanmarcostx.gov/animaladoptions to choose a pet, fill out an online adoption application, and then give us a call at 512.805.2650 or email animaladoptions@ sanmarcostx.gov to talk about it.
