By, Mary Elizabeth Shivers
On Sept. 12, the Planning and Zoning Commission for the City of San Marcos had their meeting during which they heard requests for CUPs (Conditional Use Permits) for Chuy’s, Pinky’s Wine Bar and Tanger Outlets.
San Marcos Planning and Zoning voted unanimously to give CUPs to Chuy’s, Pinky’s Wine Bar, and Tanger Outlets. Chuy’s CUP was for selling mixed beverages to be consumed on the premises while Tanger Outlets’ CUP was simply for selling mixed beverages. Pinky’s Wine Bar’s CUP was an “Unrestricted Conditional Use Permit” for selling beer and wine for consumption on the premises.
Dahlia Woods, who owns Dahlia Woods Gallery in which Pinky’s Wine Bar is located, spoke in favor of granting this CUP, stating that Pinky’s Wine Bar “has been a positive and supportive element to the gallery.”
After the vote on Tanger Outlets, the meeting concluded.
