Precinct 3 Constable’s Office To Hold Safety Events
The Hays County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office is holding two safety events – one on crime prevention and one on bicycle safety.
“Our goal is to train our citizens to help prevent crime and improve safety by offering events that focus on individuals and their interaction with the community,” said Precinct 3 Constable Darrell Ayres. “We hope our residents take advantage of these free programs.”
Area residents are invited to a free crime prevention seminar April 30 that will showcase assertive techniques to deter physical violence and address the dangers of texting while driving. The seminar will be held at the Y Center, 14306 Ranch Road 12, Wimberley, at 6 p.m. and is open to anyone interested. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable, athletic-style clothing for participatory activities. For more information contact the Precinct 3 Constable’s Office, 512-847-5532.
Scudder Primary School students can participate in a free Bicycle Safety Rodeo for hands-on bike safety training Saturday, May 2, 1-3 p.m., at the First Baptist Church parking lot, 15951 Winters Mill Road, Wimberley. Bring your bikes (non-motorized), helmets and a parent. Afterward, families are invited to join in a ride on the hike-and-bike trail.
