San Marcos, TX – With Hispanic Heritage Month in full swing, new events and activities are taking place around town to celebrate the Hispanic heritage and diversity found in San Marcos.
That is why the Price Center is partnering with Centro Cultural Hispano de San Marcos to bring free Survival Spanish lessons to the public. Whether you’re new to the language or a seasoned speaker, Survival Spanish, aims to bring a fun and interactive experience in enhancing your Spanish skills!
“Survival Spanish will give newcomers the chance to learn conversational Spanish in a comfortable learning setting to assist in their bilingual journey and help breakdown a language barrier between the community,” said Adam Rech, instructor and coordinator.
Instructors for this class are Adam Rech, a Spanish language speaker who has lived and studied Mexican Literature in Mexico for many years and Rogelio Gutiérrez, currently a Texas State Undergraduate student and Spanish Language Major.
The Center partnered with Centro over the summer on Tuesday and Thursday nights for six weeks to offer a successful series of free Latin Dance Classes taught bilingually. This newest free class will be offered at the Price Center on Saturday mornings from 10 -11 a.m. beginning October 5th. Pre-registration is suggested.
To get started on your Spanish learning journey with Survival Spanish classes, please call 512-392-2900 or stop by the Center Mon. – Fri., 9 to 5 PM.
