Prostitution Arrest In San Marcos

On Wednesday March 9, 2016, a 59-year-old San Marcos woman was arrested following an investigation by the Hays County Narcotics Task Force.

The suspect is identified as: LINAN WANG, ASIAN FEMALE, DATE OF BIRTH: 05/18/1956

Sheriff’s Deputies said Linan Wang offered to perform a sexual act on an undercover detective in exchange for money during an investigation at “Chi Massage.” The business is located in a shopping center at 1904 Old Ranch Road 12, just outside the San Marcos city limits. Linan Wang, who listed the business address as her home, has been charged with one count of:

PROSTITUTION

PENAL CODE 43.02, Misdemeanor B

Last month, officers received a tip that the business was advertising sexual services on social media outlets. Further investigation by officers revealed the existence of online reviews in which various customers had described in detail the sexual services they had allegedly received at the massage parlor.

While making the arrests, officers noted numerous code violations and will begin the process of revoking the business’ license to operate.

Sergeant Wade Parham, commander of the Task Force, said, “Prostitution is not a victimless crime and officers will continue the investigation to attempt to uncover any leads that connect the business and its owners or associates with organized crime or human trafficking.”
