Public Weighs In On I-35 Capital Express Programs

TxDOT is moving forward with the I-35 Capital Express North and South projects. Open Houses for both projects were held during the month of October.

More than 100 people participated in person and shared their feedback on the proposed projects.

Some of the comments we heard included:

  • Support for managing the lanes to ensure reliable trips for transit and emergency service vehicles
  • Look at adding more lanes
  • Increase bridge heights and intersection improvements
  • Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements

For the most up-to-date information on the I-35 Capital Express projects, visit www.my35.org/capital. For those who were unable to attend the open houses, you can visit our virtual open house to review all the materials presented and provide your comments.

The official comment period for the Capital Express South project closes on Nov. 1, 2019, and closes Nov. 8, 2019, for Capital Express North.
