Rams Defeat Mustangs

Hill Country Christian School’s Rams faced off against the San Antonio Lutheran Mustangs in their final regular season game, 82-75.
 
The Mustangs started off strong as they quickly on an 11-4 run on the Rams. However, the Rams realized they needed to step up and went on a run of their own to finish the first quarter,19-19.
 
During the second quarter, the Rams took the lead after making multiple group substitutions keeping their players fresh.  The score going into halftime was 36-34.

After an inspirational speech from first year head coach, Justin Neuhaus, the Rams came out on fire to start the second half. They scored 27 points in the third quarter, making the score 55-41.

 
The Rams kept that momentum going into the fourth quarter ending the high scoring game with the final score being 82-75.
 

 

The leading scorer for the Rams was freshman Peyton Flack with 19 points and senior Jiro Daniels right behind him with 18 points.
 
The Rams have their first playoff game of the TAPPS 1A state tournament this Saturday, February 20, at Hill Country at 2 pm.
