The Kyle City Council is once again planning a trip to Galveston, Texas, this weekend for their annual visioning workshop.
The agenda states the first workshop will be held at Viewfinder’s Terrace, 7 Hope Blvd, on Saturday at 12:30 PM. The second workshop is scheduled for Sunday morning at 9 AM.
According to the agenda, the council is slated to hold a public comment period as per usual.
Despite that, the agenda does not provide a zoom link to allow residents to view the meeting, state if or how it will be broadcasted nor state how the public can submit their questions.
In February, during the Winter Storm Uri, the city council had first scheduled their annual workshop and decided to cancel.
It is up to all of us to keep our local officials, elected or not, honest and ethical. And each of us needs to play an active role and take responsibility for shaping our communities. How it ends begins with you…Melissa Jewett, Publisher

Thank you for keeping the citizens informed about what their elected officials are up to. I can not see how such a meeting - with no call in for public comment or video for the people to watch - can be construed as an Open Meeting under Texas Law.
