AUSTIN — The Texas Conservative Coalition Research Institute (TCCRI) today named Rep. Jason Isaac (R-Dripping Springs) its new president at its biennial policy forum.

“It’s no mistake that Texas is a beacon of liberty to the nation — and we must continue to stand firm in our limited-government principles,” Rep. Isaac said Thursday. “I’m eager to get to work expanding TCCRI’s influence and making our organization the preeminent voice for conservative values not just in the Texas Capitol, but statewide.”

“As president of TCCRI’s board of directors, I want to welcome Rep. Isaac,” said Sen. Larry Taylor (R-Friendswood). “Rep. Isaac has served his constituents honorably and proven one of the most effective advocates for conservative principles, and I know he’ll play a critical role in expanding TCCRI’s footprint in the great State of Texas.”

Rep. Isaac will continue serving out his final term in the Texas House of Representatives, which concludes in January 2019. He currently serves as vice president of the Texas Conservative Coalition and is one of only a handful of legislators to have been named a “Courageous Conservative” by the coalition every session.

Mia Garza McCord was also named TCCRI’s new vice president.
