Farmer Fred’s Garden Spring Carnival is right around the corner! The City of San Marcos-Parks and Recreation Department invites the community and visitors to hop on over to this fun filled event Thursday, April 2, 2015 from 6 – 9 p.m. at San Marcos City Park, 170 Charles Austin Drive.
With the help of sponsors, new and returning volunteers, and various organizations, this event is free to the public. The Spring-filled night includes carnival games, face painting, and additional family activities available for all ages to enjoy. There will be $3 pictures with the Bunny, a children’s train ride for a small price and a free age grouped Egg Hunt. PAWS Shelter of Central Texas will also be on site with some of their furry friends who are looking for their forever homes
The age groups and times for the Egg Hunt are:
- 3 years and under: 6:15 p.m.
- 4 – 5 years old: 6:45 p.m.
- 6 – 9 years old: 7:15 p.m.
- 10 – 12 years old: 7:45 p.m.
Volunteers are still needed to help run the carnival booths. Individuals, organizations, or businesses interested in staffing a booth should call 512.393.8249 to sign up.
