Rio Claro Studio To Host Ribbon Cutting As New San Marcos Area Chamber Members

Rio Claro Studio of San Marcos TX announces today their upcoming Ribbon Cutting Ceremony as new members of the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce to be held onsite at Rio Claro Studio on February 11, 2016 at 11 am. Business owners, Adriana “Gigi” Mederos and Stevie Black, are eager to welcome the Chamber’s Ambassador Club, as well as other San Marcos business owners, family, friends and the general public. Light refreshments will be served.
 
Coming just ahead of Valentine’s Day, the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be a nice introduction to Rio Claro Studio, a new concept space in San Marcos TX that incorporates a working fine art studio with a gallery/ boutique. Mederos and Black, recently moved to San Marcos from New England where they ran a successful seasonal gallery/workspace called Aquatro Gallery in the Rocky Neck Art Colony of Gloucester MA.

Rio Claro Studio is a concept space located on West Hopkins Street between Guadalupe and Comanche Streets in the West Downtown neighborhood of San Marcos TX. Opened in September of 2015, the unique space has a working fine art studio alongside a bustling retail gallery/boutique space. The two artist/designers, Gigi Mederos and Stevie Black, create and sell their own fine artwork, and design surfaces and textiles for their own lines of fashion accessories and home goods. Rio Claro Studio also carries local and international jewelers, and a variety of fair-trade certified goods from artists and artisans from around the world.
