Parks and Recreation will hold a lottery for San Marcos residents to reserve Rio Vista Swimming Pool for private parties during the 2016 summer season.
Residents interested in pool reservations should attend the lottery drawing at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 14 at the Activity Center, 501 E. Hopkins.
The pool, located at Rio Vista Park, may be reserved through the lottery for pool parties during evening hours. The lottery is held because more requests are made for the facility than the number of available reservations.
Lottery winners will be able to reserve the pool during non-public hours on select Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from June 1 through Sept. 5. Prices vary according to the number of guests.
Rio Vista Pool parties will start on Wednesday, June 1.
