Rio Vista Pool reopens June 1

SAN MARCOS — Rio Vista Pool, 555 Cheatham St., will reopen today at noon by reservation only. The Splash Pad at Rio Vista Pool will be unavailable until June 4 while new features are installed.

Rio Vista Pool is open for adult lap swim from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Open swim and splash pad hours are from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The pool and splash pad are closed Monday and Thursday.

Reservations may be made online at www.sanmarcostx.gov/wwriovista. Reservations are limited to one hour-long adult swim spot per day and one two-hour open swim and splash pad spots per day with a maximum group size of five. Social distancing is encouraged between parties and high touch point areas will be cleaned throughout the day.

Daily fees, $3 for children and $4 for adults, must be paid upon entry. Children five and under may enter for free. Season passes are also available and may be purchased online at www.sanmarcostx.gov/activesmtx at the following prices:

  • $39 – Youth Season Pass
  • $53 – Adult Season Pass
  • $196 – Family Pass

Rio Vista Pool and Splash Pad will offer extended hour Family Nights from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on June 11, June 25, July 9, July 30, and August 13. Information and registration for swim lessons may be found at www.sanmarcostx.gov/activesmtx.
