City of San Marcos offices, including City Hall, Public Library, Activity Center, Animal Shelter, Utility Offices and the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 24 and 25, for the Christmas holiday, and Wednesday, Jan. 1, for the New Year holiday.
San Marcos Municipal Court, located at the Hays County Government Center at 712 South Stagecoach Rd., will be closed from Dec. 24 through 27, in addition to Jan. 1, to coincide with the Hays County holiday facility closings.
In addition, the Public Library will close early at 6 PM on Monday, Dec. 31. It will resume regular hours on Wednesday, Jan. 2.
San Marcos THE BUS routes will end service at 6 PM on Tuesday, Dec. 24. The CARTS Office will be closed and buses will not run on Wednesday, Dec. 25 or Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020.
Starting December 25, trash and recycling services will move to the next service day for the entire week. Residents should have containers at the curb by 7 a.m. Regularly scheduled service will return the following week, with continued service during the New Year holiday.
Animal control officers will respond to emergencies. Emergency animal services can be contacted by calling the San Marcos Police Department non-emergency line at 512.753.2108.

Hays County
Hays County Courthouse, San Marcos, TX – Hays County offices will be closed Wednesday-Friday, Dec. 25-27, 2019, for the Christmas holiday, and Wednesday, January 1, 2020, for New Year’s Day.
The City of San Marcos Municipal Court, located at the County Government Center in San Marcos, will also be closed the same days.

All County parks will be closed only on Christmas Day, December 25.
All County Clerk’s Office locations will be closed on December 30, 2019. All County Clerk Substations — Dripping Springs, Kyle, and Wimberley – will be closed the last two weeks of the year from Dec. 23, 2019 – Jan. 1, 2020.
The main Clerk’s Office in San Marcos will close at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays during December instead of 6 p.m. All Clerk’s Offices will resume their regular hours on January 2.
