San Marcos Announces ‘Art And The Business of Art’ Workshop

The City of San Marcos announced Friday, January 18, the city will host a marketing and business workshop for artists at the San Marcos Activity Center Multipurpose Room, 501 E. Hopkins, on Thursday, Jan. 31 at noon.

The workshop, “Art and the Business of Art,” will cover promotion, event planning, and an introduction to City requirements and regulations for holding events.

Representatives from the San Marcos Convention and Visitors Bureau, Main Street and the Parks and Recreation Department will give presentations on the topics and answer questions.

This workshop is geared to individuals and organizations who received Arts & Cultural Grant funding for 2019, and slots will be reserved for them. Others in the San Marcos arts community are welcome to attend while seating is available.
