San Marcos Announces Downtown Road Closures For Crane Removal

From Thursday, Sept. 19 through Monday, Sept. 23, sections of Concho Street, North LBJ Drive and North Guadalupe Street will experience daily closures from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. while crews work to remove two cranes assembled at Concho Commons student housing development at 101 Concho St.

Starting Thursday, Sept. 19 to Saturday, Sept. 21, Concho Street and North LBJ Drive between Concho Street and University Drive will be closed to traffic.

On Saturday, Sept. 21, all but one southbound lane of North Guadalupe Street between Concho Street and University Drive will close. This closure is in addition to the North LBJ Drive and Concho Street closures this day.

From Sunday, Sept. 22 to Monday, Sept. 23, Concho Street will be closed as well as all but one southbound lane of North Guadalupe Street between Concho Street and University Drive.

Flaggers will be present throughout the closure period to direct users of the Our Lady of Wisdom University Parish to their parking lot entrance as well as the parallel and angled on-street parking on Concho Street.

The crane removals and street closures are expected to be completed on Monday, Sept. 23, weather permitting. For more information, contact eehlers@sanmarcostx.gov.
