San Marcos Art League hosts annual Member’s Show

SAN MARCOS — The San Marcos Art League is excited to present their annual member’s show, ‘The Big SMAL Show’ at the Price Center and Garden this coming July & August. The show will feature works from Art League members and will be accepting new members who want to join and present their works in the exhibition.

The show will run from July 1st through August 27th for patrons to view; artists must submit their work in person at the Price Center on June 29th-30th between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. This show will feature several works in a variety of styles and mediums. 

This show is accepting works from members of the San Marcos Art League but is also accepting non-members who wish to become SMAL members. To become a SMAL member, you can visit the Art League website at https://artleaguesmtx.org/join-us-1 or apply in person at the San Marcos Art Center. Applicants can also purchase memberships upon submission at the Price Center on June 29th & 30th.

Artwork previously exhibited at the Price Center Gallery is not eligible. The subject matter should be appropriate for all visitors to the Price Center, which is a multi-generational, family-oriented venue. Only ORIGINAL works of art, including fine art prints, sculptural pieces, textile creations, decorated porcelain and other pottery works, photographs and digital art signed by the artist will be accepted in shows.

We encourage artists to enter recent work, and all entries must have been done entirely by the artist. Reproductions from paintings and drawings are NOT allowed.

Join the Art League on August 25th for the official closing reception at the Price Center from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Attendees will have a chance to meet the artists, learn more about the San Marcos Art League and enter a raffle to win works by showing artists in the show.
