The City of San Marcos and the San Marcos Arts Commission invites the community to the dedication of three new public art pieces.

The City will be dedicating two sculptures and a three-panel stained glass art piece on Wednesday, April 26 at 4 p.m. at the sculpture garden between the San Marcos Activity Center and the San Marcos Public Library at 501 E Hopkins St.

The sculptures titled “Mark” and “Becky” were created by artist Lauren Selden. “Mermaid Triptych” is a stained-glass piece created by local artist and owner of River City Glassworks, Kathryn Voigtel Welch.  The Arts Commission sought and received approval from the Library Advisory Board for the placement of the stained-glass art in the San Marcos Public Library.
