Local Movers Commit to Fighting Hunger in Our Community

San Marcos, TX – Little Guys Movers, a premier relocation company in Texas, has committed to fighting hunger in their community by partnering with the national hunger relief organization, Move For Hunger.

As part of their national network, Little Guys Movers joins Move For Hunger’s force of moving companies who, to date, have delivered more than 8 million pounds of food to local food banks throughout the United States and Canada.

According to Move For Hunger, food insecurity affects more than 4.3 million people in Texas, and 1 in 5 children in the state goes to bed hungry each night. Little Guys Movers recognized the urgency of their neighbors’ needs and joined Move For Hunger to continue the fight against hunger and spread awareness of the growing need across the United States.

When people move, they often throw out a good deal of “stuff.” Unfortunately, much of it is food that could be shared with a family in need. Little Guys Movers will now be collecting those food items from their customers and delivering them directly to Hays County Food Bank. The service is free to customers and turns every move into an opportunity to make a difference.

But moving day isn’t the only opportunity to donate food: the local Little Guys office will serve as an ongoing drop-off point for cans and non-perishables.

Members of the community can bring goods to 2260 S Interstate Highway 35, Ste 203 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Sunday, and Little Guys Movers will ensure they make it safely to the local food bank.
