San Marcos CISD Releases Summer Nutrition Program 2018 Schedule

The Summer Nutrition program is a program through the San Marcos CISD Nutrition office, whose purpose “is to contribute to a student’s learning experience by providing quality nutritious meals.”

San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District released their summer nutrition program schedule for children 18 years and younger.

The Summer Nutrition Program provides breakfast and lunch meals to students throughout summer vacation. The program’s goal is to continue allowing students to facilitate wellness and healthy eating during the break.

Meals can be found at the San Marcos High School Cafeteria, Goodnight Middle Cafeteria, Bonham Prekindergarten Cafeteria, Bowie Elementary Cafeteria, Travis Elementary Cafeteria, the San Marcos Public Library and Redwood Baptist Church.

The Purple Bus Mobile Meals will also be serving meals; the route includes Morning Wood Neighborhood, Regency Mobile Home Park, Post Rd, Riverview Apartments and Cuauhtémoc Hall Parking Lot.

The purpose of the San Marcos CISD Child Nutrition Services is to contribute to a student’s learning experience by providing quality nutritious meals each school day to the district’s students and faculty in accordance with the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) that also includes Breakfast and After School Snack Programs.The summer nutrition program is part of a national program to ensure students have healthy and regular meals year-round.
