Meet #SMTX Main Street Groundskeeper, Jeremy Gonzales

 

NOW INTRODUCING: Jeremy Gonzales, #SMTX Main Street Groundskeeper                                                                             I am the new Groundskeeper for the Main Street Program. I was born and raised in San Marcos, Texas. I like to walk around the nature trails in the city and take a dip in the San Marcos River after. One of my favorite things to do is play soccer. My favorite sport teams are the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys. I look forward to meeting you all and let’s keep Downtown beautiful.

Lane Closures for Bike Lane Repainting
Tentative Dates of Work: May 20th, 10 pm – May 21st, 5 pm 
Repainting of the bike lanes on N. LBJ will begin this Saturday. The left lane and parallel parking will be closed during that time. The right lane and head in parking will remain open.

 

Sidewalk Clean Up
Dates of Work: May 21st-26th
DBi Services will be using scrubbers and pressure washing to clean the sidewalks downtown. They will complete their work one block at a time between 3 and 9am. Lane closures will be required to allow the trucks access to the sidewalks.

Sign-up for the Downtown Walkabout Summer Season
Choose which months you would like to participate for 3rd Thursday Downtown Walkabout this summer. If you would like to be featured in our promotional materials, tell us what your stop will be doing during the walkabout in the comment section.

Downtown Association Meeting
Join the Downtown Association for their monthly meeting on Monday, May 22nd at 6:00 pm. Meeting will be held at Railyard.
