San Marcos Fire Department Accepting Donations For Fan Drive

These will be donated to area seniors, people with disabilities, and households with children that are in financial need.


The San Marcos Fire Department is accepting donations for the annual Family Eldercare Summer Fan Drive.

The Fire Department will accept donations of new fans at its five fire stations, including Fire Station 5 at 100 Carlson Circle; Downtown Station 1 at 114 E. Hutchison; Station 2 at 1314 Academy; Station 3 at 2420 Hunter Road; and Station 4 at 404 Broadway.

Drive organizers are asking for new, 20-inch box fans and 12-inch or larger oscillating fans.

These will be donated to area seniors, people with disabilities, and households with children that are in financial need.

Financial contributions for the fan drive may be made to Family Eldercare at www.summerfandrive.org.

The fan drive ends Aug. 31. To find out about eligibility requirements or to request a fan, please call 512.459.4FAN (4326).
