San Marcos Inducts Five Women Into San Marcos’s Women’s Hall Of Fame

The San Marcos Women’s Hall of Fame began in 1984 to honor women for their volunteerism and leadership in the community.

The City of San Marcos will honor outstanding local women with their induction into the San Marcos Women’s Hall of Fame Thursday, Oct. 19 at 6 p.m. at the City of San Marcos Activity Center, 501 E. Hopkins.

The reception will honor women who have made meaningful contributions to the San Marcos community through personal achievement and community service.

This year’s honorees are Clementine Cantu-Caskey, D.J. Domstead, Charlotte Evans, Amy Moore Meeks, and Nancy Smith

The San Marcos Women’s Hall of Fame began in 1984 to honor women for their volunteerism and leadership in the community. Since then, 132 women have been inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Criteria for selection will include volunteerism in multiple areas of service, meeting the needs of the community, demonstration of initiative, influencing positive change and going beyond the call of duty.
