San Marcos, Kyle Seeks Volunteers For 33rd Annual River Cleanup

Did you know Plum Creek converges with the San Marcos River just south of Interstate 10 on the Caldwell County/Gonzales County line?

The City of San Marcos and Kyle are calling on volunteers to register for the 33^rd Annual Great Texas River Cleanup on March 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Started by the Texas River Protection Association to clean the entire 90 miles of the San Marcos River, the event includes creeks and tributaries that flow into the river. This year’s event now includes the Blanco River and Plum Creek.

On cleanup day, volunteers will check in at their watershed headquarters at 8:30 a.m., sign in, meet up with their team leaders and receive supplies and instructions. All volunteers will be provided with a free t-shirt, lunch and swag in appreciation of their cleanup efforts.
